Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16
This Privacy Policy explains how LimitedReality LLC, operating Mnemora, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when people use the Mnemora digital memorial platform.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we receive account information from your identity provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, provider account identifier, and authentication session data.
Memorial content. We collect the information that owners and collaborators choose to add to a memorial, including names, life dates, places, biography, obituary text, cemetery and grave location details, images, media captions, QR and plaque configuration, and collaborator relationships.
Public submissions. If guestbook or contribution features are enabled for a memorial, visitors may submit names, relationships, messages, photos, or other content. Guestbook entries are hidden until an owner or authorized steward approves them.
Usage and security information. We may collect logs, timestamps, page paths, source labels, and hashed IP address and user-agent values. We do not store raw IP addresses or raw user-agent strings long term in the visits table.
Payment information. Paid plans are not part of the current MVP. If payments are added later, payment card data should be handled by a payment processor such as Stripe and not stored directly by Mnemora.
How we use information
We use information to operate memorial pages, authenticate users, manage owner and collaborator access, display content selected for publication, moderate public submissions, provide support, maintain security, diagnose problems, generate QR-related records, and support exportability.
How information is shared
Published memorial content is visible to anyone who visits a public or unlisted memorial URL. Account information is not intentionally displayed on public memorial pages unless a user chooses to include it in memorial content.
We may share information with service providers that help operate the platform, such as hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, email, and payment providers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
Your choices and rights
Owners and authorized collaborators can edit memorial content they steward. Export features are planned as a trust feature, including JSON metadata, Markdown biography, media archives, and static snapshots where feasible.
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or opt-out rights. To make a request, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity and authority over a memorial before acting.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information without appropriate consent.
Data retention
We keep account, memorial, access, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, preserve memorial records as directed by authorized stewards, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. We avoid permanence claims and describe the service as designed for long-term preservation.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for an early-stage memorial platform. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The updated version will be posted with a new effective or last-updated date.
